Making out bills today. O Wise One is going to get feed. Caught another squirrel in the trap by the bird feeders. Finally have sunshine after 2 days of solid rain. Cucumbers coming up. Purple hulls coming up too. I only planted them a few days ago. If I get finished in time I hope t get some more painting done on the wood shed. Happy Gardening all!

Well I got my grass cut anyway. And also got a load of wheat straw for pen bedding from the farm co op. Rain moving in so I will have to put off my painting for a bit. Will do some knitting and some inside projects for a couple days till the rain moves through. Crazy squirrels stole one of my suet feeders. It is completely gone. Stupid things. I did get some more flower seeds planted yesterday. Zinnias, marigolds, 4 o'clock and some blue salvia. More basil too. My lemon balm is huge. This year I planted some Hyssop and chamomile too. Also the mint has come back with a vengeance. Lots of good tea material for winter teas.

Watching it rain! I have so much to do if the weather would just cooperate.
Need to spray the cabbage today with bt as the cabbage loopers have hatched out again.
Need to turn the compost piles for the day also.
Also want to put some duck water on some of the plants as fertilizer. They love the liquid fertilizer from it.

Turning compost first thing. With lots of rain comes lots of weeding. Atleast until the rain moves in for the afternoon. Dog needs grooming too UGH

Picked another dishpan of rhubarb today. I think this may be my last picking depending on the weather. If it turns hot the plant will slow down a bit on growing anyway.
Same with the asparagus I think we may not pick much more for the year. Fertilize and mulch and call it a year. Move on to the next crop.

Weeded in the garden some last night, and worked on trying to contain my tomatoes this evening. They've grown almost the height of my cages- and while we were camping last week they took off and grew out the sides and aren't looking very tidy. They are growing beautifully so it shouldn't bother me but it does.

I want to grow cabbage and always mine usually gets destroyed by bugs eating them up! I am going to continue my challenge to grow cabbage, just need every arsenal known to prevent their destruction before harvested. Many thanks!

This tip is my new gold for gardening. Nothing more frustrating than having healthy green vegetables, and then within a few days of them really taking off and learn a few days later they are mowed down by bugs! I have found my new arsenal to grow churn worthy homegrown cabbage etc...Many thanks Dirt Diva! 🌞

Do you use it on tomatoes? I have to control tomato horn worms and such if they were thick. I use it mostly on cabbage/broccoli/cauliflower to control cabbage loopers.
