Over the years I have tried various ways to keep track of my stored goods for inventory and rotation purposes. I’ve tried paper lists, apps for my smart phone, simple spreadsheets, and just plain ol’ visual reminders (nearly empty shelves.) I’ve been most consistent with tracking my canning production by using simple listing of month-by-month tallies. It seems that most of the electronic inventory apps have either been cumbersome to use or lacking in some important features such as synchronization between platforms or limited to one user only. How do the rest of you keep track of your stores? Has app technology advanced to the point that you’ve found an easy to use system that really works?

I keep a written list and try to jst mark off things as I use them. Works good for the most part as long as you remember to mark things off. I would definitely consider using an app if I found a decent one.
