Ok guys. Here is me being crazy again. So there are these devices called a CoolBot, which enable a window ac unit to run temps lower than normally intended. Most people use them to convert space to a walkin cooler, thus taking the place of a fridge. I have been thinking of this since I am hoping to focus on ferments this year. We need a cooler place to store them for the winter than I currently have. Anyone do this? Two blogs I follow have gotten rid of their refrigerators in favor of an extremely insulated coolroom with the coolbot and ac unit. Sooooo much space!

I have seen the concept in reverse used to make a freezer into a fridge. I believe it was Lee Reich that used an old refrigerated trailer that pulls behind an 18 wheeler for that. Basically using the same technology to make it into a walk in cooler. He used it to store fruit from his backyard farmden.
