My daughter is in the hospital with crohn's disease flare-up, a pancreatitis flare-up and diagnosed with sepsis, since before Mother's day in May 2021. The hospitals are having their best nurses being overwhelmed with shortage of help, a lot are giving up and changing their career jobs due to lack of staff and lack of help.
This concerns me. This could change if more people would step up and realize there is a large need for compassionate people to seek jobs or volunteer and whatever their assignment becomes, do it with zest, for we need as communities, to overcome the co-vid scare and pull ourselves out of this fog that has conspired from going through it. Too many sick people in hospitals are lacking in clean hospital rooms and doctors and nurses are overloaded from lack of backup support and the ones who are doing their jobs are exhausted from being overworked. That is, the ones who are actually taking their positions seriously!
It scares me to worry about fast food service, as it is also struggling for better employee support and in need of required staff to provide adequate quality food, for much needed better customer service. Since it is also lacking, this trickle of much needed dedicated staff, food service is presently at it's all time lowest.
This is also due to lack of care and shortage of employees. Especially when the hospitals are obviously strongly lacking in the much needed employees and volunteers that is required to provide care for our family and loved ones correctly.
People need to step up and regardless of your situation or position, do your job as if you will be the customer on the receiving end of your work, kept in mind. If this was done many obstacles would see a greater recovery for the future everyone wants.
All this would take is one person at a time to choose to get a job or volunteer, if not already employed, and whatever this duty is...do it as you are the one who is depending on the outcome from your assigned duty. We then could make lemonade out of the lemons we all have been handed out in the year of 2020 with co-vid.
We all have lost family, friends and loved ones going through this. It is our choice to give in or choose to be someone who wants recovery for a better tomorrow.
