Let us learn from what we know and have learned since we all have been affected. Share your latest or any that helps us learn along the way! Blessings to all!🙏💕
Has anyone had the shots and how has it affected you or someone you know that has? I know people around me that has passed away with co-vid although we have blessed to avoid it so far and pray for that to sustain us through these challenging times. Same as co-vid you cannot see it and it makes some wonder if it really exists. God is similar, he really exists. Prayers and giving it to God for help is turning it over to him when things are beyond our control. Do your part, as best as possible, to meet God in the middle to survive.
When Hank Aaron (famous baseball legend) passed away, the news reported he had taken the co-vid shot two weeks prior to his passing. The news reported his passing again last night, although the co-vid shot or incident was not mentioned. We need to follow nursing home statistics etc. to learn how we are best off going forward.

My whole household had it in the middle of December. Ages 6-43. What we found out is the little kids do extremely well. My 4 younger ones only had a headache/cough for a day, and literally woke up the next day ready to move on with life. My 2 teenagers (17) had it more moderate. For my husband and my daughter - they both have history of asthma/allergies- they had the longest time to recover. My daughter hasn't had breathing treatments or any meds for several years now. And even tonight over dinner she told me she feels like she can't get a full breath and needs to go back to allergist/to have them check her asthma again. My teenage son has Type 1 Diabetes- and he was sick for a couple weeks. He was the one I was most concerned about because of "underlying conditions" we read so much about- but he fared better than his twin sister with asthma history.
We feel that it finds your weakness and brings it to the surface. None of us had to go to the hospital- praise the Lord. But both my husband and I had a couple scary nights where it was hard to breathe. I literally told him to just pray for me because theres no way I want to die alone in a hospital- I'll do that at home if its my time.
We will not be getting the vaccine- unless it becomes mandatory for my husbands work. I only know 2 people personally who have received it at this point. Both did fine.
We've had 2 older men from our church die from it- both were on a ventilator and turned off. I know its real. Even as I know Our God is real. Sometimes I just have to turn off the tv- trust God is in control regardless of what we hear/see. And I pray round 2 of covid doesn't visit my house any time soon!

A sweet couple in our community came down with co-vid. The wife and husband were hospitalized and the wife recovered and went home. Her spouse had a stroke and was placed on a ventilator. He recently passed and never made it home. Our small town lost a mentor to many who was a compassionate man and example of true kindness. He made an impression on people and will be remembered as a community favorite.

In the Alabama area co-vid has reappeared in the front and masks are needed, I personally miss the freedom of breathing without it blocking my oxygen and prefer to not wear. I did have the Pfizer co-vid vaccine shot today. Once I have observed which choice would not make me feel like a guinea pig. I also had my handicapped brothers shot today, after I strongly weighed our healthy best choices. This is my first shot. I did have nausea after several hours later, this could have been my nerves from doing it. I believe I made the best choice to help protect our family. My spouse had his one week before me and has done well.

My spouse had his one week before me and has done well. Toodles like you we have also lost friends to Covid and most of my children and some of my grandchildren have had Covid. I personally think the threat is very real and for both my husband and I we talked to our physician and made a choice after much soul searching to have the vaccines. I think we all in the end have to decides what is best and safest for our own bodies. We came to the conclusion that we were much more likely to survive any side effects of the vaccine than we were survive the disease itself. We both came through the shot with minimal side effects thus far other than a few mild flu symptoms after the second vaccine. We received the Moderna vaccine. My husband was diagnosed with Covid recently but came through just fine. Bless you both for taking the shot and trying to make good decisions. All we can do is try to do the best we can to all make it through this mess.

Last Friday, the adults in our family took our second shot of Phizer. The men had less side effects than I did. The men just had sore arms for 24 hours and a headache. Me, I had chills and sweats, headache and a sore arm for days. The shot was easy, I did not even feel it, when received.
In between the first and second shot, my grandson brought co-vid into the home from school and was diagnosed after coming home with a temperature of 101 and a pediatric visit to confirm. He did have a sore throat.
I am thankful to go ahead and take the shots for the adults, to help protect the children and adults, the results could have been much worse.

My husband and I had the shot many months ago with very few problems. No side effects except a few flu symptoms with the second dose. The Moderna was available in our area.
