Have any of you planned a potager garden? Or even a veggie and flower front yard garden? Our home is small, but it is on an extremely busy street with lots of city movement. The front yard gets strong full sun 365 days of the year, and I have yet to do any landscaping or planning other than the brick walkway my husband is finishing up. We are not allowed to have fences in the front of the house.
Ayway, it seems a shame to let all that sunlight go to waste. What things did you have to consider or wish you had considered when you did your front yard or potager garden?

Many places do not allow front yard gardens so be cautious. My front is shady with 4 large oak tree so not enough sun for veggies. It mostly contains hedges and various small trees and shrubs. In the back I have herbs, flowers, fruit and a garden.
