I have two 9 tray Excalibers. One I bought used off Craigslist, and the other I bought new many moons ago. I luv them. Washing the trays is a pain, because they dont fit in my sink very well. The machines are a bit big and bulky, so best placed somewhere more permanent. I used to use my brother's round one, but it didnt dry evenly and took forever. I like having the temperature controls.

+1 on the Excalibur. I have a 4 tray one as I don't dehydrate bulk but it's been a real boon. I had a basic round type before, but as Handmaid has said, it didn't dry very evenly. Excalibur all the way.

I think Excalibers are the most preferred Although I do se where Cabela's sells one that I have heard good things about. If it were me I would stick with Excaliber. My Harvest Maid is decades out of preoduction but has been a good one.
