Recently in past few days canned peaches. I managed to put up 8 quarts and 4 pints clingfree peaches. Next will be tomatoes hopefully, if the heat holds off and the Good Lord allows.
Added 2 more quart peaches recently before they are gone for season.

What kind of syrup did you use? I did pears and apples last year, some in a light syrup and some in a red hot syrup. I'm hoping to get some peaches this year!

teresathom1: to your reply, I created a syrup by using 6 cups water to 2 cups Domino sugar and cooked til sugar evaporated. I also poured over a cup of pure peach juice to the above and heated to help flavor syrup and peaches. Hope this helps!

Canners Beware!!! Ball lids that are new and have Ball Sure Tight on the lid itself. Read the box they come in as you DO NOT boil these lids, as they probably will not seal to your jars, if you do! The cost of canning supplies have become hard to locate and cost is a lot more expensive, so Save your jars and good rings to REUSE!!! Happy Canning! 😎😄

The cost of canning supplies have become hard to locate and cost is a lot more expensive, so Save your jars and good rings to REUSE!!! Happy Canning! 😎😄 I was just about to post this as well. Some of my canning groups on Facebook have started to talk about it. It freaked me out, as we are relying heavily on canning this year to get us through the winter. Funds are limited while my husband is unemployed. So I went to check on my jars, and found 3 quarts of beans with sure tight lids that had unsealed. They were canned in Feb 2020. We are looking at investing in reusable lids now. There is a learning curve from what I understand, but I think we will practice on pickles before moving to using them on higher value items like meats or broth. Either way, there is a risk of seal failure, so might as well use something reusable! Gonna try Harvest Guard and see how it goes. Veteran owned, and made in USA. Sorry for hijacking the peaches thread.
