Hubby & 3 of our grandchildren are going out today to search our land, woods, and creek areas for wild muscadine grapes and pawpaws. Yesterday they went exploring and found a pawpaw bush and saw multiple muscadine vines, but it was getting late so they left them for today. Every year I can muscadine juice and jelly. I have never preserved pawpaws in any way. I would like to learn how though since my hubby says there are quite a few pawpaw trees/bushes on our land. I don't even know how to tell when pawpaws are ready for harvest. Any info would be so appreciated. Thank you.
