A friend showed me a gallon jar of fresh eggs where she chose the cleanest fresh unwashed eggs, un-refrigerated. She mixes a couple tablespoons of pickling lime with water and fills a gallon glass jug 3/4 way high and then fills jar with whole unshelled raw eggs and tops off with water/pickling lime mixture. I was told this will keep up to 2 years. She keeps them at room temperature. Once done this way you do not add more eggs as these are used, anyway preferred. I have never see them stored this way. Has anyone ever seen this or prepped this way?

I have read about this method and seen pictures but never tried it. I have not seen or heard of it either. I am curious how well it could work! I will learn from friend and maybe try when I have access to more fresh eggs. I love to use fresh eggs for baking and holidays are around the corner!
