Glamorgan sausages and tinned baked beans tonight, I've been baking and making ahead today. Made some more fruit muffins, a double recipe of Glamorgan sausages, a batch of barbeque sauce, and I'm sweating down some Leek and Mushroom mix for later use and I have some dough proving for Langos. Okay I am curious. Langos? Glamorgan sausage? Lol Good morning Sonic

I thought that would get you intrigued. Glamorgan sausages are a vegetarian sausage made with breadcrumbs, Leeks and Cheese. Really easy and very tasty. For the sausages 25g/1oz butter 115g/4oz leeks, trimmed, finely sliced (prepared weight) 175g/6oz fresh white breadcrumbs 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme 150g/5oz Caerphilly cheese or Welsh Cheddar, finely grated 2 Eggs 1 tsp English mustard ½ tsp flaked sea salt 5 tbsp sunflower oil freshly ground black pepper Melt the butter in a large non-stick frying pan and fry the leek gently for 8-10minutes, or until very soft but not coloured. Put 100g/3½oz of the breadcrumbs, the parsley, thyme and cheese in a large mixing bowl and mix until well combined. Beat one egg with the mustard, salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper in a separate bowl. Remove the frying pan from the heat and tip the leeks into the bowl with the breadcrumbs. Add the egg and mustard mix and combine with a large wooden spoon until well combined. Divide the leek mixture into eight portions and roll into sausage shapes. Place the sausages onto a tray lined with clingfilm. Beat the other egg well. Sprinkle 40g/1½oz breadcrumbs over a large plate. Dip the sausages one at a time into the beaten egg and roll in the breadcrumbs until evenly coated, then place on the baking tray. Chill the sausages in the fridge for 30 minutes. Heat the oil into a large non-stick frying pan and fry the sausages over a medium heat for 10-12 minutes, turning regularly until golden-brown and crisp.

Langos (Langosh) is an Eastern European yeasted frybread that you smother with sour cream, crumbled feta cheese and grated Parmesan. Really healthy!!

A little late posting, as I understand how tough it is to prepare a full home cooked meal, this is what we had for supper last night. It was hot too yesterday, and I promised to prepare it, so had to be true to my word. Put up leftovers for another meal this weekend, to prevent having to cook another big meal and allow me to get some canning accomplished! 🐝

I used up the last of our patty pan squash to make stuffed patty pans. It was sooo good! I regret not doing this before. I had them stuffed with a mixture of ground turkey, banana peppers, onion, garlic, cabbage, and tomatoes (including tomato powder). Delicioso!
