I think we will have something quick and easy, maybe tacos or a tomato sandwich.

Yesterday was busy outside till dark hoping for much needed rain today. So we had fried bologna sandwich and home fries. This is one of my biggest problems deciding what's for supper. I can cook most anything but had making the decision is not easy. How do you decide What's for supper...meal planning???

I can cook most anything but had making the decision is not easy. How do you decide What's for supper...meal planning??? In the summertime I usually base our suppers around what I’ve picked from the garden that needs used up first. Yesterday we had green beans, squash casserole, and a turkey breast. We have a lot of turkey leftover so maybe tonight will be tomato sandwiches from the tomatoes I picked this morning, along with a slice of turkey. If not sandwiches, then I will make something quick and easy like tacos. I like to meal plan more in the winter when I’m working with my freezer/pantry inventory. Summer’s more of winging it with whatever we have from the garden or something I can cook without heating up the house too much.

I try to stay ahead of the curve. I make meals and put in the fridge. Keep a couple casseroles in the freezer and a couple things like beans and ham or soups I can throw in the crockpot. Sometimes I just ask my husband the night before what he is in the mood for. I love forums and Pinterest. I just go online and look around my pins and think hmmm think I will try that. Nothing like a little inspiration.

I adore lasagna and do not know why we do not have it more. Thanks for the idea and I might make one too this week.

Homemade chili in the crockpot first thing this morning (well, after milking the goats) and Sweet Cornbread to go with! Yum, can't wait! Then off to clean the rabbit cages!

Supper tonight will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I will probably have sliced tomatoes and cucumbers too.
